Mr. Mestdagh previously served as Trustee at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and a member of their investment Committee. Jim currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, a business school where he serves on the Finance and Investment Committee. In addition, Jim also is the President of the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club Foundation, a 501c(3) Foundation for the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. He also currently serves on the Chateau Beaver Creek Board of Trustees in Avon, Colorado.

Mr. Mestdagh was appointed to the Board of Chateau Communities, a family company founded by his father-in-law. Chateau Communities became a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) listed on the New York Stock Exchange for 10 years before the Company was sold back into the private sector. Jim still serves on the committee of the private company.

Jim sits on the Board of the John A. and Marlene L. Boll Foundation, a private family Foundation which gives back to the communities they call home. Three areas of concentration to provide maximum effectiveness of resources are Christ-Centered organizations, Educational Values, and Community Enrichment.

Mr. Mestdagh is a past member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Southeast Michigan, the City of Grosse Pointe Farms Foundation, and Community Central Bank, a publicly traded company. He has also served as a Trustee of Knox Presbyterian Church in Harrison Township, Michigan. Mr. Mestdagh received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing and Management in 1987, as well as an Associate Degree in Automotive Management in 1985, from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.

He and his wife, Kristine, have one grown son, JT. Jim splits his time between his homes in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, and Beaver Creek, Colorado. He enjoys skiing, boating, traveling and hunting.

JT also is an author, motivational speaker and an adventure enthusiast. His determination, faith, excitement for life, and motivation to help others achieve their dreams, have been shaped from his early life experiences. JT was born with a life-threatening syndrome called VATER/VACTERL and endured 250 days in hospitals before the age of 3, along with 16 major surgeries before the age of 16. He also has severe dyslexia and short-term memory loss. Recently he wrote a book called UNTETHER detailing his amazing story of courage, determination and faith to overcome these obstacles. From being told in 5th grade that he would be illiterate for life, he went on to graduate not only from University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, but also graduated from High Pointe University in North Carolina. Through faith, a positive attitude, empathy and the spiritual, emotional, and practical help of his family and countless others, JT is now a grateful entrepreneur, outdoorsman, and encourager, committed to giving back. He created the JT Mestdagh Foundation, to help children with congenital colorectal issues receive world-class medical care, and help those with dyslexia and other learning disabilities to excel with the best possible education assistance. JT also produces podcasts, interviewing others who have gone through difficulties in life and want to offer encouragement to those in need. JT is an experienced mountaineer, having recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. He is also an extreme skier, boater, hunter, and adventurer who has made it his life mission to encourage people to untether from natural or self-imposed limitations and live full, passionate lives. JT splits his time between his family homes in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and Beaver Creek, Colorado.
